The Outer Banks: Beach Abstracts

Writer's picture: Sandy SiegelSandy Siegel

I offered a detailed explanation of my process for capturing abstracts in my previous article, so I will spare you. The images I am presenting in this blog are very different from my abstracts that are also reflections. These are abstracts in the sand that are without water because the waves have totally receded or because the tide is down and the sand has almost entirely dried. I appreciate just how different these abstracts are from one another. The colors, textures, lines, patterns are so interesting to me. I hope you enjoy these images. If not, please feel free to use the scroll thingy in the middle of your mouse. If you do enjoy these images, think about all of the natural process that go into their creation. We live on just an amazing planet. We probably ought to work more diligently at not destroying it.
